Meet The Team - Sales Support Manager
30 April 2021
In this weeks Meet the Team we talk to Francesca - our sales support manager. We find out about her passion for travelling, what she enjoys most about working at Intamarque and what effect the pandemic had on her working life at Intamarque.
What is your job role at Intamarque?
I am the Sales Support Manager here at Intamarque, and my role is to manage the end to end sales process. I monitor and analyse the daily sales report, as well as forecast for the month to ensure individual and team sales targets are met. I ensure working practices and processes are maintained, while also striving to enhance them and implement new ones.
Tell us about a typical day in your job – has this been impacted by the pandemic?
A typical day for me requires liaising with all areas of the business to ensure my orders are on track, and updating the customer accordingly. These inter-departmental communications, allow me to understand the pressures they’re facing and to create processes or initiatives to improve the way in which we work as a business.
The pandemic meant that we were all working from home for a period of time. For Sales Support, this meant that some of our processes had to change to become more paperless. This process was implemented well and hopefully something we can look to do permanently in the future.
What do you love most about your job?
I really enjoy the diversity of my role and the fast paced environment that comes with working for a FMCG business. I get a buzz from seeing the Sales team hit their targets and supporting them through the process. I am always monitoring our sales report and sending weekly forecasts to encourage and keep our teams focused!
Why should a prospective customer choose Intamarque?
I believe Intamarque offer a great range of products with competitive pricing, but most importantly we bring a personal touch, efficient service and willingness to improve to meet customer requirements.
When you were a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
I have a passion for travel & sports so when I was younger I wanted to travel the globe with the England Rugby Team as a Physiotherapist – very specific, I know! Although the Physio route didn’t work out, I have managed to travel some of the world and watch my favourite sports teams.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I am a massive foodie and enjoying dining out in restaurants as well as cooking up some nice tasty dishes…. alongside a glass of wine. I also love to travel and in September 2020 I returned to the UK after 18 months living and travelling in New Zealand and Asia. I enjoy going to the gym and watching plenty of sports, particularly rugby, cricket, UFC and tennis! Looking forward to the pandemic being over so I can get back to watching my teams in person.
