Meet The Team - Credit Controller
25 June 2021
In this weeks Meet the Team we talk to Deb - Deb has worked with Intamarque for over 8 years. Find out more about our Credit Controller and her love of the Forest of Dean.
What is your job role at Intamarque?
I work in accounts at Intamarque and have been a part of the company for just over 8 years. My role includes credit control and purchase and sales ledger.
Tell us about a typical day in your job – has this been impacted by the pandemic?
Throughout the day I manage the sales and purchase ledgers. I also run credit checks to prevent fraudulent transactions and keep a close eye on the exchange rates. The pandemic didn't have a massive impact on my role itself. The only real difference was that I was working from home for a short period at the start of the year. I am very happy to be back in the office with the team and having cups of tea made for me!
What do you love most about your job?
I love the satisfaction of when the money comes into the account, and also enjoy helping to control the finances of the business. I also love the team at Intamarque and couldn't ask for better work colleauges.
Why should a prospective customer choose Intamarque?
A customer should choose Intamarque because we are passionate about what we do. We do the best for our customers and have a quick turn around. Our sales team are fantastic at understanding each business and their individual needs and requirements. I think this makes us stand out as they take the time to build relationships with our customers.
When you were a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
As a massive lover of animals, I really wanted to be a vet and help to heal the animals. I didn't pursue this as I couldn't bare the thought of getting any diagnosis' wrong! This is when I decided to follow the path to working in accounts all those years ago.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I have 2 dogs - Trigger and Zander - that I love taking for long walks. They come away on holiday with us and we explore as many places as we can. A particular favourite is the Forest of Dean - there are a lot of lovely walks and woodlands to explore.
